Kim’s Story:

After establishing her career at Vancouver Coastal Health and gaining extensive experienced in acute care, orthopedics and stroke recovery, Kim decided to help people who needed rehabilitation the most due to their limited mobility. She created Physio2U to help people who needed rehabilitation the most-the ones who have mobility challenges leaving their home. She believes in relationship-centred care and commonly uses manual therapy, exercise and functional retraining to achieve results.

Kim is a strong believer in life-long learning. Through the University of British Columbia, Kim has mentored internationally educated physiotherapists. In 2010, she created a community-based exercise program for people post-op total knee/hip replacements, called JR2, that runs in Richmond BC. In 2023, Kim received the prestigious Doctors of BC Excellence in Health Promotion Award for initiating this impactful program. Kim is an active member of the provincial Arthritis Continuing Education (ACE) Network, National Arthritis Health Professions Association (AHPA), SportMed BCPhysiotherapy Association of BC and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. In April 2016, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the College of Physical Therapists of BC and is currently serving her third term.
