Kim graduated with honours as a physiotherapist from Queen’s University in 2005. After establishing her career at Vancouver Coastal Health and gaining extensive experience in acute care, orthopaedics and stroke recovery, Kim decided to help people who needed rehabilitation the most due to their limited mobility. She created a unique model of physiotherapy service provision including one-hour, 1:1 sessions that include hands-on-treatment, education and exercise prescription based on movement pattern retraining. The Physio2U approach appreciates and understands that the clinician-client relationship is fundamental to recovery and feeling better.
Since the start of Physio2U in early 2012, it has grown to the largest in-home physiotherapy company in Western Canada. Kim is a strong believer in life-long learning. Through the University of British Columbia, Kim has mentored internationally trained physiotherapists and has completed a pilot study on an exercise program she helped create specific to people recovering from joint replacement surgery. She served three terms as a peer-elected board member for the College of Physical Therapists of BC from 2016 to 2024. She is an active member of the provincial Arthritis Continuing Education (ACE) Network, National Arthritis Health Professions Association (AHPA), SportMed BC, Physiotherapy Association of BC and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
