Physio2u | In-Home Physiotherapy Services

In-Home

Kinesiology

Maintain independence, improve quality of life, and reduce the risk of falls with our in-home kinesiology services for seniors. Work with a kinesiologist to improve your strength, mobility, and balance in the comfort of your home, care home, or wherever else suits your schedule.

An accessibly-priced alternative to physiotherapy, kinesiology can help you recover from an injury or surgery or provide support and accountability to help you meet your movement and exercise goals. We’ll work with you to develop a program that fits your lifestyle and needs.

What We Can Help With:

  • General mobility, strength, and conditioning for seniors
  • Post-stroke rehab
  • Post-hip or pelvis fracture rehab
  • General frailty, including osteoporosis
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • COPD
  • Osteoarthritis

Why Choose Physio2U?

  • Our kinesiologists are members of the BC Association for Kinesiologists, trained in the science of human movement to help you improve your health and wellness
  • Attentive one-on-one service in every session
  • We never charge extra for travel time to any location
  • We correspond directly with any third parties involved to ensure that treatment can be provided as quickly as possible
  • Over 95% of Physio2U clients would recommend us to a family member or friend

What To Expect:

  1. A trained kinesiologist will come to your home (or any location convenient to you) to conduct an initial assessment.
  2. They will ask you questions about your goals, injury, or pain, conduct strength tests, and discuss a tailored physical therapy program to meet your needs.
  3. In follow-up sessions, they will guide you through your exercises, check in on progress, and make any necessary adjustments.

Good To Know:

  • Please have any doctor’s referral notes, diagnostic imaging reports, or your list of medications handy for appointments.
  • The kinesiologist may need about 4 x 8 feet of space for exercise demonstrations and participation.
  • The kinesiologist may need to put their hands on you to instruct and support your movement.
  • Wear shorts or a sleeveless top, or otherwise comfortable and flexible clothing, to provide the best range of movement.
  • The kinesiologist will prescribe home exercises and/or stretches, and may make other wellness recommendations to help you feel better. It is important to follow this advice for optimal recovery and progress.
  • The assessment session will last 1 to 1.25 hours. Treatment sessions are 50 minutes to 1 hour long.
  • Please note that the time required to conduct requested or necessary communication to doctors, family members, or third parties will be included in your 1-hour session.
