What To Expect:

  1. A trained physiotherapist will come to your home (or any location that is convenient to you) to conduct an initial assessment.
  2. They will ask you questions about your injury or pain, conduct strength tests, and discuss a tailored physical therapy program to meet your needs and goals.
  3. In follow-up sessions, they will guide you through your exercises, check in on progress, and make any necessary adjustments.

Good to Know:

  • Please have any doctor’s referral notes, diagnostic imaging reports, or your list of medications handy for appointments.
  • The physiotherapist may need about 4 x 8 feet of space for exercise demonstrations and participation.
  • The physiotherapist may need to put their hands on you to instruct and support your movement.
  • Wear shorts or a sleeveless top, or otherwise comfortable and flexible clothing, to provide the best range of movement.
  • The physiotherapist will prescribe home exercises and/or stretches, and may make other wellness recommendations to help you feel better. It is important to follow this advice for optimal recovery and progress.
  • The assessment session will last 1 to 1.25 hours. Treatment sessions are 50 minutes to 1 hour long.
  • Please note that the time required to conduct requested or necessary communication to doctors, family members, or third parties will be included in your 1-hour session.
